about

Some of the best dub music from Jamaica was recorded at the Channel One studio in the heart of the Kingston ghetto on Maxfield Avenue. Owned and operated by the Hoo Kim brothers it had a thunderous drum sound.
Hence the title of the album. This set showcases Sly and Robbie and the rest of the session band known as 'The Revolutionaries' at their spectacular best.
